“May Lui was a great resource and support for our Community Council and staff. In 2019 and 2020 she provided a series of workshops and trainings to our Board. She also guided us through HR and Finance Policy writing. May inspired confidence in our team and sparked some great conversations.

We are grateful for her clear and accessible approach to understanding legal and fiscal compliance matters, and for making writing and reviewing policy less scary!”

“May brings a wealth of knowledge and integrity to her anti-racism training. She is practical and focused, and also creates space for deeper thought and reflection.

May is a skilled facilitator, able to guide a large group through challenging discussions about power and privilege, white supremacy and racial injustice, both historic and present. Super impactful and engaging.

I highly recommend May every chance I get.”

“We worked with May Lui as a part of our Nobody’s Born A Racist (NBR) 2.0 Speaker Series project that aims to engages over 600 Canadian youth aged 12-29 in a national movement to combat systemic racism. May’s talk focused on Anti-Asian racism, engaging youth in conversations specifically relevant to history, the pandemic and supporting Asian youth with their experiences of racism.

She was an incredibly knowledgeable and kind speaker who you can truly see is passionate about the work she does. We are grateful to have learned so much from her, and she kindly left us amazing resources for our own learning as well. May is a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend working with her.”

“Parkdale Project Read worked with May Lui on a multi-phase strategic planning process. May guided us with warmth, creativity, humour, and just enough firmness to keep us focused on our goals.

May’s steadfast leadership helped us identify four strategic directions and create an in-depth workplan including action items and accountability measures.

We highly recommend the work of May Lui, particularly to other community-based organizations wanting to measure their impact and explore strategic directions that will revitalize their work.”
